Cataracts are partial or complete clouding of the lens of the eye located inside the eyeball between the iris and vitreous body. The lens is naturally transparent and plays the role of a natural lens that refracts light rays and passes them to the retina. The lens that has lost transparency during cataracts ceases to transmit light and vision deteriorates until it is completely lost.
